Why Seamstress?

• Practical experience with second and third companies

  • Great graphic designers

  • Developed whole pages

  • Controlled "component" reuse themselves

  • No programming ability

  • No desire for distracting/foreign elements in their HTML

• I like pure, deep technologies

  • Text::Template was the only thing I conidered

    • More invasive with HTML than designers or I like

• I don't understand AxKit / LibXML

  • XML::XPath great for finding nodes... how to manipulate search results?

• Petal and Xelig are similar-spirited but still cryptic to me

• (HTML|XML)::TreeBuilder always felt right

  • Seamstress is just a bunch of convenience functions for TreeBuilder
